Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Baker to join the opening team for an exciting new project! At Mercato di Luigi, we're thrilled to announce the expansion of our brand with a captivating new concept.
Our latest location will feature an Italian market, deli, and cafe by day, seamlessly transitioning into a full-service restaurant by night, highlighting Italian cuisine with a focus on simplicity, local ingredients, and a curated wine list.
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience and be passionate about baking, leading the team, and training.
You have :
- 2+ years bread / pastry / baking experience
- Experience in a supervisory position preferred
- Proven ability to develop, test, and execute new menu items
- Formal training and experience in Italian cuisine considered an asset
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while multi-tasking and maintaining high food standards
- Proven ability upholding health & safety standards
- Great communication skills and a passion for baking
- Food Safe Level 1 required
