THE JOB : Manager, Doctors Technology Office
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range : $80,067 - $100,083
Reporting to Sr. Manager, Practice Transformation, theManager, DTO is responsible for overseeing the Doctors Technology Office (DTO) practice support portfolio.
This includes managing the development and implementation of initiatives that support and enable the use of health technology within clinical practice, as well as delivery of advisory and escalation health technology support services.
The primary objectives for this position are to provide leadership to the program staff, employ health informatics expertise to inform in-practice and community level primary care technology initiatives, and work collaboratively within the Practice Transformation management team to develop practice support tools and resources related to health technology.
The Manager, DTO also works collaboratively with staff across the programs of the JCC Department, the JCCs, Doctors of BC, and leaders of other provincial health service organizations to enhance alignment and support collaboration to achieve the shared vision for health IM / IT.

WHAT YOU BRING
A Bachelor’s degree and / or recognized professional designation, and up to six years of progressive and related experience;
or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education
- Requires advanced knowledge of a specific discipline in health information science, computer sciences, health administration or business and operational knowledge in the area of expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team and in motivating and guiding team members.
- Ability to work in a constantly changing landscape while meeting project deadlines and deliverables as position has direct impact on the team and may impact the entire organization.
- Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system and demonstrated understanding of EMR vendor services and clinical benefits of technology-enabled practice.
- Project and budget management experience, including experience with planning, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.
- Ability to collaborate with other leaders to resolve strategic issues and resolve operational problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication
- Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be willing to travel within the province.
