Status : OpenWestCorp Solutions is searching for a Contract Maintenance Planner to support our Client in Rainbow Lake, AB.
The schedule for this role is 5 days on, 2 days off per week. The position of Contract Maintenance Planner will consist of detailed planning of maintenance activities for an oil / gas facility in Northern Alberta.
This will include, but not limited to, all trade groups and departments - General Maintenance, I&E, and Mechanical. This position is accountable to maintain Operation’s assets by delivering the Conventional Operations Maintenance Strategy, supporting operational integrity improvements, and driving sustainment of License to Operate programs.
Key Accountabilities :
- Review, prioritize, and plan maintenance activities in collaboration with Operations, Maintenance Coordinators, and Senior Trades Employees
- Collaborate with Senior Trades, Maintenance Coordinators, and Operations to develop planned work.
- Develop, manage and refine current and new Project Management Plans
- Collaborate with Operations to plan Turnaround activities.
- Develop task lists for routine tasks and turnaround activities.
- Facilitate weekly maintenance review meetings to discuss current activities, prioritization, review upcoming planned work, and identify any maintenance requirements that may not have been brought forward.
- Participate in monthly cost review and annual budget development meetings.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Required :
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 5 years planning experience with SAP or relevant education / experience combination.
- Standard First Aid

- Valid Driver’s License
- WHMIS 2015
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Asset : Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Maintenance related discipline (preferably Engineering)
- Journeyman Trade Certificate
- Power Engineering Certificate (4th Class)
- Gas Process Operations (GPO) / Production Field Operations (PFO) levels I, II, III, & IV or A, B, C, & D, OGPO (NAIT)
Asset : Experience
- 5+ years prior experience working with maintenance philosophies, standards, strategies, practices, and processes within the Energy industry.
- 5+ years working knowledge of applicable energy industry Codes, Standards, Regulations, and Acts, design and construction practices;
pressure and rotating equipment; electrical; instrumentation and controls; and operating process principles.
