The Work :
To assist the Commercial Operations and Analytics team with the generation of reporting for a variety of frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly) for the Commercial lending department.
The Intern will be trained on all aspects of reporting processes, which will include but are not limited to : sourcing and extraction of data, data cleansing, report generation, and communication to internal stakeholders.
The Intern will also become familiar with the Bank's established policies and procedures as well as federal compliance regulations while finding creative solutions to meet internal deadlines and provide support to the Commercial department.
The Core Responsibilities Of The Job :
60% on a daily basis, the Intern will assist with the preparation of extensive financial and regulatory reports for Senior Management, The Board of Directors, and external regulators as required, to monitor the operations and the status and condition of the Commercial portfolio.
The incumbent will be required to provide detailed and accurate analysis and reporting on portfolio performance, risk, and other portfolio metrics.
- 35% on a weekly basis, the Intern will assist with various administrative and sundry duties as assigned, such as reporting, procedure updates, pipeline management, and ad-hoc projects.
- 5% on a daily basis, the incumbent is responsible for time management of their workflow in order to meet prescribed deadlines.

Currently enrolled in a University or College program (Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or Data Science is preferred).
- Demonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Use of MySQL, SQL Studio Management, and Python is not a prerequisite but is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates strong self-learning abilities and is a fast learner.
