What You Will Get To Do :
- Review and prepare tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds including trusts and limited partnerships
- Review and prepare trust income tax returns and partnership financial returns using tax software
- Liaise with investment fund managers and audit firms during the audit and review process
- Advise clients and internal parties on all tax related matters
- Assist and participate in special projects and other duties as necessary
- Lead in the development and mentorship of junior tax staff
- Participate fully as a member of the Canadian and U.S. teams and contribute to a positive work environment
- Stay current on changes to tax legislation and other tax compliance requirements for investment funds
What You Will Bring :
- Undergraduate accounting, finance or equivalent degree
- Must have a professional accounting designation
- A minimum of 5 years of Canadian tax experience, in the financial services and asset management industry
- High proficiency with Excel and experience working with tax software
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
