For this reason, we are seeking ambitious, talented, and driven Sales Engineer with thorough Legal Bookkeeping experience to join our growing and scaling Sales team.
This position is designed to support the National Sales team to handle accounting enquiries presented by prospects during the sales process.
The candidate will be pivotal to helping the Sales team handle Bookkeeper enquiries and close business. The Sales Engineer will also be the conduit between new business and Post Sales Operations, explaining what the customer needs to ensure the correct expectation is set for the customer to have an enjoyable experience, transitioning to new software.
This role will be hybrid, working in the office 3 times a week, once our new Toronto office is established
Responsibilities and Duties for Sales Engineer (included but not limited to)
- Work closely with Decision Makers and Bookkeepers to help them understand how the benefit and features of LEAP will assist their Law Firms
- Responding in a timely manner to prospects’ Accounting and technical requests, including data inquiries, Level 1 and 2 support, and API inquiries.
- Work with professionals within the company to ensure solutions are available for projects and working properly
- Responding in a timely manner to prospect’s Bookkeeper regarding Accounting related enquiries
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
- Assist other department pre, and post-sales in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them
- Liaise with post sales Implementations and data migrations teams to disclose customers needs to set the correct implementation expectation
- Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
- Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
- Log time and activity into Salesforce CRM
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Legal Bookkeeper Accountant experience or equivalent accounting experience
- Experience with Canadian Legal Trust accounts
- Quickbooks Bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Canadian Law Society and financial year-end audits
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Sales and Demo experience preferred
- Project development and leadership skill are preferred
- IT and cloud infrastructure, experience preferred
- Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes is beneficial
- Work experience in analyzing computer software is beneficial
Ongoing Training
- Be open to coaching and feedback, and use available tools such as Gong, to continually improve
- Maintain strong product knowledge, and attend continual training
- Use available sales assets while working through the sales process
- Manage your pipeline properly on Salesforce CRM, keeping tasks and information up-to-date, and coordinating with all staff in-house and at the prospect firm, to ensure we do everything we can to win a deal
- Achieve highest possible closing% for all Sales Accepted Meetings
- Coordinate and involve other team members and management as needed
- Using your extensive accounting experience will be asked to help with training others in the team
