Architecture49 is seeking a Senior Technologist to join our CENTRUS team.
The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct.
The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations.
Working from Canada’s national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building.

Responsibilities
- Producing technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams.
- Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations.
- Provide technical design solutions for construction including interior and exterior assemblies.
- Coordinating internal production teams.
- Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
- Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.
- Assisting a dedicated site team and preparing documentation for contract administration.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college.
- 10+ years’ working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm.
- Experience leading BIM projects.
- Construction site experience.
- Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam.
- Professional registration in a provincial association dedicated to technologists will be considered an asset.
