Job Description

• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprint schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity of current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain repair and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
• Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

Requirements

Education : Completion of secondary school is required

Experience : The candidate must have the Trade Certification or be eligible to obtain the Trade Certification (Completion of a four- or five-year industrial electrician apprenticeship program or A combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college, or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment is usually required to be eligible for trade certification)

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities : manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods of time, ability to distinguish between colors, bending, crouching, kneeling

Personal Suitability : accurate, organized, team player, client focus, flexibility

Worksite environment : fast-paced environment, confined spaces, at heights

Important information : Flexibility on schedule is required. The candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 6 : 00 a.

m. to 2 : 30 p.m. Overtime (extended hours) may be required based on the business needs.
