Purpose :

This role contributes to the overall success of Fixed Income Sales and Trading globally; ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You'll Do :

  • Foster client relationships across multiple fixed income products groups and look for opportunities to cross sell into other groups within GBM as we look to bring the entire bank to our clients
  • Works with trading desk and clients to develop executable trade ideas that maximizes trading revenue, is within firm tolerance, as well as driving new issue business through reverse orders Look to identify opportunities for the trading desk to enhance profitable secondary activity Actively provide information and feedback to Trading and Syndication on an ongoing basis
  • Help develop and implement fixed income content to meet client needs and highlight Scotia

What You'll Bring :

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Strong relationship building and inter-personal skills - developing deep relationships with clients and internal partners within Scotia (ie Syndication, Trading)
  • Experience within the corporate bond market, with a deep working knowledge of both issuers and investors an asset
  • Works with Credit Trading to develop and enhance internal tools to identify areas of opportunities in secondary market to drive client primacy
  • Experience working closely with Trading, Syndication, Corporate Access groups to ensure Scotia events are marketed to fixed income clients
  • Involvement working within a fast paced and active environment
  • 7-10 years of experience an asset
  • CSC and CPH required

Work Arrangement :

This position is currently an on-site role, with the expectation that you will work at least 4 days a week in the office.
