TheRole :
- Effectively planschedule and coordinate audit and assurance engagements to ensuresuccessful execution in accordance with firm methodologies guidanceand professional standards
- Analyze complex andspecialized accounting issues
- Monitorengagement timelines against goals and objectives liaising with theEngagement Partner and clients on engagement status to ensureclarity throughout the process and manage the production of qualitydeliverables on time and within scope andbudget
- Under the direction of a Partner deliverindustry and technical expertise through client interactionswritten reports technical work and trainingmaterials
- Manage a portfolio of clientsensuring their needs are met and that relationships and accountsgrow and develop
- Liaise with clients on mattersrelated to billing and collections
- Identifycrossservice line opportunities and develop an awareness of how toscope or scale services to theclient
- Participate in the development anddelivery of competitive proposals to meet clientneeds
- Represent at networking events and seekinteractions that could lead to potentialopportunities
- Facilitate positive internal andexternal business connections to develop relationships andeffectively manage teams
- Provide guidance andtraining to staff to enhance their career development with thefirm
What You WillBring :
- CharteredProfessional Accountant (CPA)designation
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant workexperience in public accounting
- Extensiveknowledge and experience working with Accounting Standards forPrivate Enterprises (ASPE) Accounting Standards for NotforProfitOrganizations (ASNPO) Canadian Auditing Standards and CanadianStandards on Review Engagements
- Knowledge ofPublic Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and InternationalFinancial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered anasset
- Enjoys the challenge of identifying andresolving complex issues related to financial reportingrequirements and the research and discussion that stem fromthem
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonalskills
- Experienced leader with strongteambuilding and coaching skills
- Proficiencywith accounting and tax software such as Caseware TaxprepQuickbooks and Simply Accounting as well as with Microsoft Office(Word Excel and PowerPoint)
