Home supportworkers caregivers and related occupations provide personal careand companionship for seniors persons with disabilities andconvalescent clients.

They provide care in the clients residencewhere they may also reside. They are employed by home care andsupport agencies private households or they may beselfemployed.

JOBDUTIES :

Provide careand companionship for individuals and families during periods ofincapacitation convalescence or familydisruption

Administer bedside and personal care toclients such as aid in ambulation bathing personal hygiene anddressing and undressing

Mayperform routine healthrelated duties such as changing nonsteriledressings assisting in the administration of medications andcollecting specimens under the general direction of home careagency supervisor or nurse

May perform routinehousekeeping duties such as laundry washing dishes and makingbeds.
