Job Title : Senior Business Analyst
Location : Need to be on-site 4 days in Calgary, Alberta (Local candidates ONLY)

This Business Analyst will also utilize standard best practices as required to support the activity execution, and has a key understanding of transition to operations, and development of processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience with eliciting business requirements, facilitating workshops, developing process descriptions and procedural documentation, building workflows, documenting standards and policies.
It is also important for the candidate to have experience and strength in managing complex business scenarios and dynamic stakeholder groups and ensuring effective synchronizations between competing corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities :
Lead and participate in process creation, reviews, updates, and documentation with our stakeholders.
Deliver and / or participate in standards, policies or process education and awareness.
Successfully engage, drive and facilitate multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously.
Work independently with users to define concepts or workflows and under direction of project managers.
Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
Collaborate with project team members including subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
Be the liaison between the project teams, technology teams and support teams.
Manage and execute on required stakeholder and client engagement across project deliverables to support project plan and scope outline.
Collaborate with project team members to progress the project forward as per project plan and scope outline.
Work closely with People Readiness team (OCM, Communications, Learning) to help identify / validate stakeholder change impacts, provide technical review of communications and contribute to training curriculum and learning content.
Manage and participate in Transition to Operations scope and activities for services and / or products built by the project team.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed : functional requirements (business requirements document), use cases, workflow diagrams, and context diagrams
Qualifications :
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
At least 10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity
Direct working experience or project experience in business areas or functions
Oil &Gas / Energy industry experience would be considered an asset
Organization and relationship building skills
Highly effective communicator
Displays emotional intelligence; demonstrates self-awareness and remains calm under pressure
