Cannabis Support CO-OP

We are currently hiring Research & Development Lab Co-op at our Research Center in Windsor, ON. The Co-Op works with the team at the Research Center in Windsor Ontario to blend formulations of cannabis infused beverages and co-ordinate stability testing and sensory tastings to approve formulations.

The co-op will compile data from research projects and summarize key findings. The position is also responsible for maintaining the blend lab and keeping the sensory labs clean and sensory neutral.

The environment is fast paced but friendly, so the Co-Op should have good time management skills and strong work ethic, but also enjoy the camaraderie and fun team events with the team.

You will learn how to blend, pasteurize, and package beverages and perform organoleptic evaluation of beverages and how these evaluations fit in to any food and beverage company.

You will also learn how to analyze and report data in a scientific and meaningful way to help influence business decisions.

Additionally, you will be working closely with the research and development team to schedule testing and go about your daily tasks.

What You'll Brew :

• Lab Maintenance and upkeep
• Blend prototypes for the following purposes
• Organoleptic Tastings
• Specification Alignment Blends
• Product Optimization Blends
• Stability Testing
• Other blends as needed
• Operate and manage carbonation equipment
• Operate and manage analytical instrumentation
• Work with partners to prepare and ship all samples on time
• Managing data sets for stability and product specifications
• Set-up internal tastings including descriptive panel and alignment tasting panels from start to finish
• Gathering data and analyzing to find compelling information needed to communicate to stakeholders

What Ingredients You’ll Bring :

• 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor of Chemistry or Food Science Program
• Must be able to commit to a 6-month long internship
• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Valid SIN needed by first day of employment
• Must be able to commute daily to the Windsor Location.
• Time management, data analysis, multi-tasking, organizational skills are essential.
