Infrastructure Project Manager
Location : Montreal,QC
12 Months Contract Position
Important points to consider :
- Test and turn up new network devices.
- Extending role specifically in Cloud.
- This role is not a Project manager in PMO.
- Looking for Infrastructure PM.
- Experience in Installation and migration activities, install and data center infrastructure. Not looking for cables exp.
- Looking for Cisco and Arista technology.
- This person will be working and installing in data center.
- Responsible for full life cycle, hard ware install. Test and run switches.
- Person must work on Friday nights.
- Person must be unique.
- Looking for financial services.
- Cloud provider AWS, GCP - who has experience in installing networks.
- At least 8+years of experience.
- Must have exp in financial services, in technical role or cloud services, AWS, GCP.
- Must work Friday nights and Saturday Mornings.
- Must work on weekends pleasantly.
- Skills this person must be a clear communicator.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work on intent pressure.
- Leadership qualities.
- Two interviews.
- Monday to Friday with extra hours
- On the weekends installation work will be done.’
- one day off during the week it would be compensated Friday or Saturday night.
- Tentatively working hours would be 50 hours
Candidates must have :
1 : Experience in financial services
Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
2 : Open to work Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
3 : A strong experience with network infrastructure and cloud.
4 : A real consultant experience / mindset.
About the Position :
Seeking an Infrastructure project manager with strong Data Center build and Cloud circuit connectivity AWS and Azure experience to focus on network infrastructure builds primarily focusing on Cisco & Arista technologies in enterprise Data Centers.
The PM will lead the installation, coordination and refresh of Data Center infrastructure including, network switches, routers and cloud connectivity.
The PM will co-ordinate tasks with external teams to meet project objectives.
The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements and leading the deployment plan of new core network infrastructure.
The candidate will lead all project lifecycle phases which includes hardware installation, testing and turn-up of core network routers, switches.
The candidate will be leading the project, not reporting on the project. This role is not a PMO position but rather a technical PM.
The candidate must work Friday evenings after business hours and some Saturdays.

Requirements :
- 12-15 years of technology project management experience Build Data Centers and network core infrastructure, switches and routers.
- Experience with Cisco and Arista hardware and understands how to partner with vendors for installation.
- Experience with AWS and Azure network installations (circuit connectivity)
- Experience with project lifecycle of network integrations, infrastructure build, data center builds and / or network hardware refresh.
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and track deliverables related to the request.
- Manage delivery across internal teams and third-party contractors / consultants.
- Gather technology requirements and partner with engineering and operations for high level design.
- Responsible for managing delivery across internal teams and third-party contractors / consultants.
- Develop, track and coordinate schedule.
- Manage Hardware deliveries, with vendors, including staging.
- Create and Manage the Technology Change Management tickets.
- Develop, track and coordinate circuit installations and scheduled.
- Provide weekly status reports both internally and externally, as required.
- Schedule UAT testers and BAU signoffs
- Logistics coordination including delivery and invoice closeout.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Project Strong Excel, Sharepoint, MS project, ServiceNow Skills
Skills Desired :
CCNA and / or CCNP preferred. Bachelor's Degree + Must have experience within financial services and / or technical role at a Cloud provider or Data Center Builds, Consolidations, Decommissions
