Summary :
Reportingto the Senior, National Sales Director, Foodservice, the Business Development Manageris results driven and sales focused.
As a Business Development manager, youwill be responsible for seeking new customer opportunities, growing our salesand product offerings such as Fairlee, Oasis and SunRype within the region.
Weare looking for energetic people to develop new and grow existing sales in Albertathrough commercial, non-commercial accounts, regional chains, while supporting independentoperators and distributors in branded and private labels for juice and food.
Key Activities :
- Deliver new foodservice customers, case growth and net sales budget for the region.
- Build and expand the food service non-commercial and commercial accounts.
- Target and add new regional chains.
- Negotiate contracts with new and existing accounts.
- Present our existing and new products to distributor sales team, commercial / non-commercial customers, independent restaurants, and regional chains.
- Build relationships, help maximize production distribution and increase market share.
- Approach customers with concepts and ideas that are solution options for their beverage and food needs in branded and private label.
- Execute Marketing initiatives and prepare sales presentations.
- Make regular customer presentations to help gain incremental volume and revenue.
- Working with customer, finance, supply chain, credit, and logistic teams on new business acquisition.
- Get new distributor listings and drive sales through compliance.
- Lead, organize and participate in regional industry events, distributor and customer trade shows, customer presentations and accounts blitz, including healthcare.
- Implement and maintain all contract files in Lassonde Trade system.
- Communicate regional insights on competitive information in industry as available.
Education& experience required :
- Bachelorof Commerce (Business / Marketing or Finance) or 5 years of experience in similarposition.
- Goodknowledge of the food industry (distributors, regional and multi-unit chains.
Competencies :
- Demonstrates good communicationand computer skills (MS Teams, ppt, excel, MSOffice, etc.).
- Very self-sufficient, motivatedand result oriented.
- Positive and entrepreneurialmindset.
Specificconditions of the position :
- Travel is required in this position to effectively manage the territory. Some travel to Edmonton and / or the Kootenay’s is required on a monthly basis, as well as participation in trade shows and National Sales meeting.
- Must be able to lift weight of 50lbs or 22kg.
- Valid Local Drivers License.
