About you :

You are an experienced Technical Project Manager, ideally with a .Net development background. You have specialized in Document Processing Automation, and have experience with ABBYY FlexiCapture, or at least similar platforms such as Kofax or Esker.

This is a minimum requirement for this position.

You enjoy both the technical and people side of delivery, as you seamlessly move between managing and overseeing the technical development of our delivery teams through to managing client expectations every step of the way through to project sign off.

You have an entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, energy, and a make it happen’ attitude to help us not only deliver our current pipeline, but also to help us position for future growth.

About the opportunity :

Each of our projects requires configuration and have short turnaround cycles of 5-6 weeks. You will working remotely, and managing multiple projects concurrently.

You will be working in alongside our technical guru and founder, as well as our Head of Delivery, to help us deliver on our fast-growing pipeline of work.

Last, but not least, you thrive on building effective and professional relationships with your customers, vendors, third parties such as outsource partnerships, and technical teams.

The role reports in the first instance to the Head of Delivery and works closely with the whole operations team.

Role deliverables & accountabilities :

1. Project Delivery and Management

The implementation and management of ABBYY Flexicapture projects with full end to end responsibility of each project. This includes, but is not limited to;

developing relationships with multiple stakeholders, ongoing customer liaison, presales, project scoping, creating SOW and FDD documentation, project management, development, resource allocation and appointment, quality assurance and testing, go live support, customer training, and overseeing the delivery of technical work within defined time scales and budgets.

Grow the capacity of ABBYY related project deliveries to facilitate accelerating demand and be capable of onboarding 48 new clients / solutions annually within 3-6 months.

2. Resource Management and Leadership

  • Align technical delivery across SmartUi’s in-house and outsourced teams. This includes, but is not limited to; project scope and functional design criteria, delivery processes, quality standards, technical resource upskilling, QA, timelines, and budgets.
  • Providing technical, development and thought leadership as required.

3. Strategic Relationship and Key Account Management

  • Develop long-term delivery strategies with the delivery business unit in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Develop Document Processing and IA capabilities to become best in class

Key skills and characteristics :

  • Formal qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology and or Information Systems.
  • Extensive experience in technical project development and delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen, experienced project cost control, forecasting, cost optimisation and rationalisation.
  • The ability to (with a cool calm head) deliver and manage multiple technical projects at once.
  • Established networks within the ABBYY community, and the ability to access outsourced consultants, and resources, as SmartUi scales.
