Weekend Structural Welder

Randstad is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Journeyman Structural Welder to join a leading structural fabrication company in Sherwood Park.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to showcase their expertise within a collaborative team environment.

This contract position offers an initial term of two months with a high likelihood of extension based on performance and project needs.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys tackling diverse welding challenges.

Shift : Saturday & Sunday, 12 hour days

Potential for weekdays

Pay Rate : $35.60 / hr + $3 / hr weekend premium

Location : Sherwood Park

Must Drive, not transit accessible*

MUST have CWB in fluxcore

Responsibilities

Perform structural steel welds using FCAW / MCAW procedures

Assist in moving materials and parts, including heavy lifting

Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints

Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Journeyman or 3rd year
• Previous structural steel welding work experience
• Valid FCAW / MCAW CWB qualification (all positions preferred)
• Physically fit and able to work on a trolley welding under a structure
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
• Organization Skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
• Please note this work location is not transit accessible and your own transportation is a must
