The Principal at our Montessori School in Ontario will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for students in Toddler Grade 12.

Responsibilities :
Educational Leadership :
Provide visionary leadership to uphold and advance the Montessori philosophy within the school.Collaborate with teachers to ensure the implementation of effective, innovative, and student-centred teaching methods.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development for faculty.
Curriculum Development :
Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive Montessori curriculum for Toddler Grade 12 students, ensuring alignment with Ontario curriculum standards and Growing Success.
Collaborate with educators to create an engaging, challenging, and developmentally appropriate curriculum.Student and Staff Welfare :
Prioritise the well-being and individual development of each student and staff member.Implement strategies to create a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the social and emotional growth of students and staff.
Parent and Community Engagement :
Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Actively engage with the community, representing the school at events and establishing partnerships to enhance the educational experience.
Administrative Oversight :
Provide effective management and oversight of day-to-day school operations.Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient functioning of the school, including admissions, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Financial Management :
Work closely with the school board to develop and manage the annual budget.Ensure financial resources are allocated effectively to support educational initiatives and maintain fiscal responsibility.
Professional Development :
Encourage and support the professional growth of staff through training opportunities, workshops, and ongoing education.
Compliance and Accreditation :
Ensure the school adheres to all relevant education regulations and standards.
Work towards and maintain relevant accreditations and certifications, including Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA), Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (accredited by the Ministry of Education)
Crisis Management : Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety and security of students and staff.
Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably within a Montessori environment.
Ontario Principal’s Qualification Program (PQP) certification or equivalent experience.
Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.Strong knowledge and commitment to Montessori principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to build and lead a collaborative and high-performing team.
Experience with a Non-For-Profit (NFP).
