Secondary Technical Studies Teachers (Woodwork, Metalwork, etc)

Continuing Full-Time with Benefits (1.0 FTE)

This is a full-time continuing contract position with benefits; therefore, applicants must be available to work every day.

Teachers are typically placed in long term temporary positions such as medical / parental leaves or continuing vacancies.

In the event that there are no long-term assignments / vacancies, the successful applicant will be guaranteed day-to-day work.

Qualifications :

Completion of a Bachelor of Education

Must have a diploma at a recognized institute (e.g. BCIT, VCC, OCC) in technical studies including Drafting, Woodwork, Metalwork, Electronics and Auto Mechanics is required

Must have completed a teaching practicum in technical education

Membership in or eligible to become a member in the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)

Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
