Global Financial Firm located in MISSISSAUGA, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer
This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.
Video / f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.
The Fixed Income Mortgage Technology is going to expand a dedicated team based in Mississauga. The team will be three developers reporting into the Tech Lead / Senior Java Developer role below.
The Tech Lead role will report into a local manager in Mississauga. The project and system being developed are highly customized to trader needs.
The candidate will need to work with business analysts and traders to understand requirements and to understand the business domain underlying the requirements.
It is important that they have worked in financial services and have shown the ability to learn a business area in addition to having strong development skills.
Role : Technical Lead / Senior Java Developer
Responsibilities :
Take a leadership role in the team.
Act as key communicator and facilitator in working with other global teams, business analysts and project managers.
Represent the team in status meetings for OnePx.
Develop new functionality in Java to meet the assigned deliverables.
Requirements :
10+ years of experience in large scale Java development projects for financial services.
5+ years of experience as a technical lead.
Able to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.
In depth knowledge of Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search or similar cache.
Very familiar with GIT, CI / CD tools, Kubernetes, Docker.
Familiar with event driven architectures and micro-services.
Has worked in an Agile development process.
Proven track record of building real time applications in a Financial Services context.
Familiarity with mortgages, bond trading, risk or price capture systems critical.
Education :
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
