Job Description
We are seeking a professional and reliable AZ Truck Driver to join our team based in North Bay, Canada. As a Roamer, you'll have the opportunity to travel extensively, delivering goods across various routes while ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Operate and drive commercial trucks to transport goods across long distances
- Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks on vehicles
- Load, unload, and properly secure cargo
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle operations using electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and fellow drivers
- Adapt to changing schedules and routes as needed
- Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cabin
Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean Commercial Driver's Abstract
- Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with cargo handling and securing procedures
- Understanding of transportation industry regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and routes
- Valid passport for potential cross-border travel (US-Canada)
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Ability to work independently and remain focused during long drives

What will you do?
You will be based in North Bay and work in various locations in Ontario for (1-3) weeks at a time. When you are floating in another area we will pay the hotel costs and travel costs (if using your own vehicle).
This is a salaried position and you would work in Ontario mostly and possibly of other regions in our network.
