TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS : 30% travel is required

ABOUT OUR CLIENT :

Located in Montreal, our client is a subsidiary of a prominent international group specializing in waterproofing products.

They are dedicated to the design, manufacturing, and marketing of waterproofing membranes tailored for various civil engineering project applications.

Their innovative products find extensive use in environmental protection initiatives (solid and liquid waste containment, especially for the mining industry, secondary containment systems), hydraulic projects (dam imperviousness, reservoir protection, containment pond construction, and canal lining), transportation infrastructure projects (highway ditch lining, railway ballast protection).Job

POSITION SUMMARY :

Ensure the promotion and development of waterproof products intended for the civil engineering market.

Maintain and contribute to the growth of new clients and to achieve the annual sales goals.

This position reports directly to the management of the Canadian subsidiary.

TERRITORY :

Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conducting proactive commercial prospecting activities to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Developing comprehensive sales plans to increase sales volume within the territory.
  • Promoting waterproofing products :

o Potential and existing client visits and meetings

o Attending industry conferences

o Delivering technical presentations at client sites and industry conferences

o Working on specifying Company products with engineers or owners.

  • Providing technical support for solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Nurturing and retention of professional relationships with clients, distributors, installers, engineers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Evaluating and delivering quotes to clients.
  • On-site field training for installers.
  • Following up on installation of construction sites to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintaining regular and effective communication with the Managing Director of Canada.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering (civil engineering is an asset).
  • 3 years of relevant experience in sales of technical products.
  • Able to travel on the Eastern Canadian region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in understanding and articulating technical specifications and benefits of engineering products or solutions.
  • Preference to relevant experience or contacts in the industries of mining, irrigation, landfill, hydroelectric and oil and gas sectors.
  • On-site experience is an asset.
  • Strong sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understand their needs, and providing solutions.
  • Strategic mindset to develop and implement sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and adapt to changing business environments.
  • Ability to conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, assess competition, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Teamwork habits and proficiencies.
