The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a production supervisor role.
Your tasks as the Production Supervisor
- Establishes and maintains best practice work and production standards.
- Production Planning and Scheduling
- Manages, supports and mentors production employees to ensure compliance with standard operational, quality and working practices.
- Plans and organizes operations to determine priorities for manufacturing products.
- Ensures production targets and quality standards are maintained.
- Removes production constraints to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
- Responds to employee issues regarding production and quality issues.
- Maintains and supports a superior safety and housekeeping program.
- Encourages and promotes a continuous improvement environment.
- Communicates with other departments regarding product delivery status and requirements.
The required qualifications of the Production Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of conventional / CNC turning, milling and grinding operations
- Take-charge individual with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation, systems and policies.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool manufacturing and geometry an asset.
