Position : B Pressure Welder (Tig Root) Reports to : Production Manager
Duties
- Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.
- Perform fit-ups, pressure containing welds, and multilayer overlay welds as required by the work order.
- Welding procedures including GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, using a variety of materials.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm.
- Overtime and weekend work required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to produce x-ray quality weldments
- Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions
- Fabrication & Mechanical an asset
- Pipe Experience, Spooling Experience, Roll Welds, (TIG Root required)
- Valve / Valve Modification Experience an asset
- Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-hour shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion
- Basic computer skills
- Experience operating a forklift
- Problem solving skills
- Overtime work as required
- Ability to work as a team with positive open-minded attitude
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Qualifications
- High school or GED required (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of welding / fabrication experience
