Introduction
OMERS Private Capital includes investments in European and Asia-Pacific private equity, Life Sciences, Ventures, Growth, Green Tech, as well as a global private equity funds and co-investment strategy.
The global funds and co-investment strategy develops partnerships with best-in-class fund managers and provides OMERS with additional diversification and reach into existing and emerging private equity opportunities across the global landscape.
As a Director you will be a key member of an engaged, high-reaching team part of a world-class, winning culture that prioritizes people development and focuses on long-term growth.
The Director will lead on underwriting, monitoring and management of Private Equity funds and co-investments. Including the coordination and oversight of the approach to fund investments across Private Capital.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for :
Private Equity fund underwritings directly, and have responsibility for several key GP / sponsor relationships
Participate in the portfolio management and recommend strategies to enhance portfolio construction
Lead in depth market research and due diligence including the critical review, stress testing and commenting on 3rd party private market strategies
Lead on management and enhancement of relationships with key stakeholders, investment partners, advisors and portfolio management teams
Proactively participate in operational aspects of Private Capital, suggesting and implementing efficiencies or changes in process, procedures or structure
Assist the broader Private Capital team with developing fund monitoring reports and critically assess documentation and other communications
Helping foster an energized, proactive and entrepreneurial work environment
To succeed in this role, you have :
Extensive experience of private equity funds including the sourcing, due diligence, execution and monitoring of funds and co-investments;
or experience in private equity secondary investing
Extensive knowledge of and relationships in the private equity community
A thorough understanding of partnership agreements
Highly competent at prioritization and management of multiple workstreams to deliver high quality work under constrained timelines
Excellent ability to influence and negotiate to fulfil investment objectives
Require strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skills
Require strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Have excellent command of MS Office applications
