Job Description
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Manager position serves as a consultant to leadership on all HCM-related functions within Workday.
The position formulates partnerships across the HCM function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
This position is responsible for leading and collaborating with key stakeholders and leaders across various business units and locations.
This leader leverages experience and knowledge as an HR Professional and Workday technical expert to provide consultative guidance and solutions aligning company and business objectives to achieve superior results.
This is an on-site opportunity located at our Mississauga office.
- WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE; Leading a team of HRIS professionals to support the business with the overall maintenance of the Workday system
- Consulting with leadership for decisions and providing HCM expertise guidance
- Assessing, strategizing, and managing Workday deployments for the organization
- Overseeing the setup and maintenance of User Security Roles
- Directing the HRIS team's daily operation of the HRIS system, including user support and regular system maintenance
- Analyzing requirements for changes and system enhancements to develop solutions and implementation
- Leading and assisting in the resolution of complex end-user issues. Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations to determine corrective actions required
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employee data, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to HRIS team (, coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions); and
- Executing special projects as needed by HCM / HRIS department in conjunction with the stakeholders in the IT department and other various groups as needed.
- OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;5+ years of proven experience in Workday HCM implementations / development, testing, configuration, and deployment
- Demonstrated skill set in configuration or specialized knowledge in configuration logic
- Understanding of data protection regulations required
- Hands-on experience with complex HR database administration
- Successfully completed at least 1-2 end-to-end HCM implementations
- Experience in multiple HCM functional areas, including experience in defining how multiple HCM modules work together preferred
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Existing and current Workday HCM Core Certification required
- Workday Recruiting, Payroll, Absence or Compensation certification or experience preferred
