Project Manager

Urgently hiring junior project manager across Canada. This is a full-time permanent role

Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Project Manager in the Heavy civil construction industry.

Our client, a leader in the heavy civil construction, earthworks, contract mining, and remediation, with operations throughout Canada has immediate need for a Junior Project Manager for a full-time, permanent role .

The successful candidate can be from ANYWHERE in Canada. If you have large heavy civil earthworks construction projects experience, please apply ASAP.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Demonstrate exceptional safety leadership, ensuring understanding and compliance of all related safety legislation, policies, and procedures
• Assist the Project Managers for full cycle project execution, from startup, execution, through to close out of the project to the satisfaction of the client, consistent with safety, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements
• Ability to manage remote civil and earthworks project sites
• Assisting in developing cost estimates and budgets
• Ensuring maintenance of total quality performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements
• Identifying and implementing process improvements in order to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of site operations

Requirements :

• 3+ years' experience in a similar role
• Heavy Civil Earthworks project experience is required
• Completed post-secondary degree in Civil, Mining or Construction Engineering Degree preferred
• Experience with earthworks and heavy machinery an asset
• Above average computer skills including MS office, Primavera, SharePoint. JD Edwards is an asset
• Able to work at our remote worksites on a rotational basis
• Previous experience working on site in Northern Canada is considered an Asset
