The Senior Business System Analyst is responsible for conducting systems process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost / benefits analyses in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives on projects of highly complex nature and / or business area.

- Work with expert users and business representatives to determine business requirements that must be met through enhancements in technology.
- Work with systems analysts, application developers and business analysts to identify options for potential solutions and the impact to systems, while assessing both technical and business suitability.
- Implement and contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk throughout the project life cycle.
- Review, analyze and define current / future state processes and contribute to the development of specifications and testing for all identified development, system modifications, and installations.
- Manage daily operations and functionality of the application within production support area, resolve production problems and errors.
- Develop detailed technical specifications for enhancements to provide developers with clear guidelines for development of software that will meet user requirements.
- Performs and assists with analysis workshops with clients to define business, process, functional requirements and data element requirements
- Writing FRD, BRD, Test Cases and other documents for multiple projects
- Coordinate with developers and quality assurance analysts to test software changes, and ensure that functionality meets stated user requirements.
- Experience in business systems integrations as well as understanding of Microsoft Azure API management, Azure Logic Apps and configurations an asset
- Manage project timelines and resources, including working with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards of the business.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to business stakeholders and cross-functional teams. This includes training users, providing technical support, and recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system requirements, design documents, user manuals, and training materials.
If you have :
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service) or similar is a must
- Must have a strong sense of business process and provide best practice strategies for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power automate, Power Virtual agents / chatbots) is an huge asset
- Experience in working with Azure DevOps and good understanding of agile practices for project / solution delivery is an asset
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team and to lead and manage the members
- Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6-8 years of Business Systems experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years of project management experience.
- Knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas; Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
