The Opportunity :
The Regional Director of Admissions’ major purpose is to train, supervise, manage and advise campus Director of Admissions (DAs) and Education Consultants (ECs) to successfully drive the entire admissions process at the campus level.
Working closely with the Executive Vice President of Admissions and the local campus Director of Admissions, The Regional Director of Admissions will design, develop and achieve an integrated enrollment strategy that admits and retains students;
optimizing the use of financial aid resources and coordinate the enrollment-related efforts of the campuses.
The Regional Director of Admissions is an important participant in the college’s student retention efforts, working closely with the Executive Vice President of Admissions and local Campus Director to improve student retention.
What you’ll be doing :
- Manage the sales quotas for the respective admissions representatives annually, quarterly and monthly.
- Provide input into the sales forecasts annually for each campus and respective admissions representative.
- Direct and oversee the admissions process for the campuses from point of inquiry through enrollment.
- Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues and problems escalated from an admissions perspective; ensure that appropriate actions are taken to the satisfaction of the student, college, funding agency and ministry.
- Employ ethical admission practices which meet all regulatory and college standards.
- Seek out creative vehicles and methods to attract and convert culturally diverse prospective students.
- Continually evaluate and provide feedback to the Executive Vice President of Admissions regarding admissions testing tools to ensure they are adequate for enrolling quality students.
- Lead major account business development initiatives directly.
- Maintain a working knowledge of MTCU and WSIB regulations regarding admissions.
- Analyse enrolment reports to determine effectiveness of admissions team interviews, closing rates and terminations.
- Provide monthly enrollment reporting and projections to the Executive Vice President of Admissions.
- Represent triOS at various gatherings and conferences related to admissions.
- Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
- Hire and train Education Consultants and Director of Admissions.
- Ensure that admissions team members are adequately skilled and equipped to perform their duties.
- Ensure Directors of Admissions lead and manage Education Consultants to standards defined by the Corporation.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the position :
- Post-Secondary degree in sales or business required.
- A minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in an admissions capacity at a higher education institution.
- A minimum 2 years of sales management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken command of the English language.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service internally and externally is crucial in this role.
- The ability to trouble shoot difficult situations in relation to customer relations is essential.
- Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Occasional travel is required.
