About the Opportunity
Our client, who is a prestigious public accounting firm centrally located in Ottawa, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.
You will have the opportunity to advance your career with a specialty in Taxation.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements and disclosures for tax-related matters
- Collaborating on tax planning and compliance strategies for various engagements
- Compiling comprehensive working paper files to support personal and corporate income tax returns
- Completing intricate corporate and personal income tax returns
- Offering prompt responses to client inquiries within the context of tax engagements
- Independently and efficiently executing taxation-related tasks
- Contributing innovative ideas to enhance work efficiency
- Working closely with engagement teams, providing updates on project progress
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior tax professionals
- Active participation in internal committees to drive firm-wide initiatives
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
- CPA or in the final stages
- At least one year of experience in a tax related role within public accounting
- Comprehensive understanding of diverse facets of taxation, encompassing income tax returns, tax planning, and compliance strategies
- Passion and enthusiasm for the intricacies of tax consulting and a perpetual learning atmosphere
