Equipment Maintenance Technician - $30-$35 / hr - South Winnipeg

If so, I'd like to hear from you! A Canadian-based multi-temperature storage / warehouse company is looking for a skilled Equipment Technician to join their service team!
Permanent position
Hours : Monday to Friday daytime 6am - 2 : 30pm (with the opportunity for overtime)
Salary : $30 - $35 per hour (based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities
As a Forklift Technician in this storage facility, a normal day would include :
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of material handling equipment, industrial batteries, and charging system.
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Support building maintenance and refrigeration maintenance as needed
- Assist in performing emergency repair work and breakdowns on the building, grounds, installation, and equipment (such as racking systems;
mobile and dock equipment) as required.
- Utilizing Maintenance Management System software (Guide TI) to create and track all maintenance activities
- Keep clear and accurate documentation and reports
- Tracking all spare parts and items used in inventory management system, ensuring maintenance shop stays clean and organized
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse rules, policies, procedures, and standards are met, including HACCP and BRC.
- Perform other related duties, as required.
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Completed 2nd level HET Apprenticeship or higher is considered a strong asset
- 3+ years of experience diagnosing and servicing heavy material handling equipment required
- Experience working on light and heavy propane, gasoline, and diesel equipment
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude and building maintenance experience preferably in a warehouse facility.
- This role will have a flexible schedule that will include afternoon, weekend and on-call coverage for the warehouse and refrigeration system.
- Able to work in different climate areas i.e. -18 to -25 degrees Celsius
- Able to consent and pass a criminal background check
- Able to legally work in Canada
