This track is responsible for supporting the business models on Wattpad including programmatic ads, IAP(coins), and subscriptions as well as core platform features such as story moderation and notifications.
As a PM, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including engineering, design, and data. You will work to understand the needs of our users and to ensure we are meeting our business goals.
You will help facilitate the process of determining the best solutions in collaboration with your team, and you will be the representative of the team to ensure the team’s efforts are aligned to the needs of the organization and supported by appropriate stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing :
- Work with a multi-functional team to create, evolve and maintain multiple ad / premium products
- Contribute to the product roadmap for the track
- Be responsible for hitting goals in line with the company strategy
- Facilitate a strong product discovery process around understanding users, partners and stakeholder needs constantly validating hypotheses
- Work closely with our engineering teams to better define, implement and iterate on solutions together
- Seek to deeply understand how readers engage with our business models while consuming stories, clearly define and prioritize challenges and opportunities to ensure we are working on the right things at the right time
- Work closely with the 10+ product management team to ensure a cohesive and integrated product experience that meets the needs of our 90M users, while supporting each other’s development across the practice
- Build strong relationships across the company to help solve problems together
What you will need :
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience as a product manager
- Experience and understanding of technology systems
- Have strong product instincts about getting from a user pain point to an underlying problem
- Passion for the power of storytelling
- Excellent leadership and communications skills, with experience managing a variety of stakeholders
- Data-driven / analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritize them and work comfortably in forecasts and revenue predictions
- Natural curiosity with a thirst to validate assumptions with data, insight and peer discussions to inform yourself better
- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Business, or UX Design an asset

$110,000 - $135,000 a yearWattpad is conducting all interviews in a distributed manner using applicable third party software where needed and using visual interface tools such as Google Hangouts and Zoom.
