Job Description
ADGA is hiring a Project manager to work on the implementation of Telecommunications, Networks, and other Information Technology Transformation initiatives in support of Software Asset Management (SAM), where the ability to track and manage current software license holdings has been identified as a key gap.
The Project Manager will assist in defining the scope, dependencies, work breakdown structures, and the development of project artifacts required to support the implementation of SAM.
The Project Manager will also assist in the development of the Project Status Report. The Project Manager will also oversee and maintain the roadmaps and activities for SAM areas of responsibility and assist in coordination with stakeholders.
All work will be completed on-site within the National Capital Region.
Tasks and deliverables could include but are not limited to the following :
- Overseeing work associated with sub-projects within the SAM programme, identifying ways to optimize schedules and delivery that could contribute to achieving the goals of the entire programme;
- Preparing documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reporting;
- Identifying risks and issues, and formulating statements of problems;
- Reporting on the progress of sub-projects on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle;
- Meeting with stakeholders and other project managers to discuss and resolve issues;
- Preparing plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems;
- Working with a variety of project management tools; and
- Creating presentations and presenting them to various stakeholders and facilitating meetings and discussions.
Job Requirements : Qualifications
Qualifications
Must have a university undergraduate degree or college diploma / certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in any field;
OR must have a Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
- Must have seven years of experience within the last ten years as a Project Manager managing the delivery of an IM / IT project, with a minimum budget of $5,000,000.
- Must have five years of experience providing project management services on a TCP / IP router-based wide area network with 150+ router nodes.
- Must have five years of experience managing a project team working with telecommunications service providers.
- Experience as a Project Manager in telecommunication or network-related projects for any of the following departments :
- Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
- Communication Security Establishment (CSE)
- Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces (DND / CAF)
- Experience using Project Management and Configuration Management Board practices.
- One or more years of experience in conducting network in-service support activities such as network administration, support, and implementation.
- One or more years of experience in a network / project management support capacity liaising with clients and Telecom Service Providers at a national level.
