Senior CAD Technician (Land Surveying) - Langley, BC
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and preparing topographic, legal, and construction survey plans under the direction of the project manager or BC Land Surveyor.
Must Haves :
- Experience with Microsurvey or similar AutoCAD software programs.
- Proficiency in preparing topographic, legal, and construction survey plans.
- Strong knowledge of survey data processing, boundary resolution, and calculations.
- Ability to perform accurate calculations using GPS and data processing tools.
- Experience in preparing files for field crews.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to relocate if necessary.
Nice to Haves :
- Familiarity with BC Building Strata Plans, Condominium Plans, or similar plan types.
- Experience working on construction sites and performing field measurements.
- Knowledge of Leica total stations and TDS Survey Pro data collection software.
- Past experience in multi-family residential or commercial development projects.
- Diploma or degree in a survey, geomatics, or engineering program.
Responsibilities :
- Drafting and preparing topographic, legal, and construction survey plans.
- Collaborating with the project manager or BC Land Surveyor to ensure accurate plan preparation.
- Calculating layout information and preparing files for field crews.
- Performing survey data processing, boundary resolution, and volume calculations.
- Assisting with field survey work when needed, including measuring strata lots.
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients as needed.
