Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Supervisor to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our power distribution units are assembled and tested efficiently to meet project deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a past in mechanical assembly, and possess excellent team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble power distribution units using hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, air compressed power tools).
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams to perform electrical wiring and install components into the outer shell (distribution unit).
• Test completed power distribution units to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform general cleaning duties such as cleaning the work area and building skids.
• Partner with a buddy to learn and understand the procedures for mechanical assembly components for different products.
• Supervise and manage the afternoon shift team to ensure work is completed on time and to the necessary standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of previous team lead experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Expereince working with teams of 30+ individuals
• Production manufacturing experience
• 1+ years doing mechanical assembly with hand and power tools.
• Experience planning and adjusting production scheduling

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong team management and development skills.
• Experience in production supervision and plant operation.

Work Environment

This position is for the afternoon shift, which runs from 3 : 30 PM to 12 AM, Monday to Friday and additional overtime shifts on Saturdays.

All materials are provided and organized for quick and efficient assembly. You will work in teams in a well-lit but slightly dusty facility.

Comfort working in close quarters with team members is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.
