Take charge of your career and development while helping our customers safely meet the power needs of our communities. Apply the technical and project management knowledge and skills that you’ll learn through our structured Engineer-In-Training program to support our Power generation Customers.
Provide on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection and overhaul of Steam Turbine and Gas Turbine Power Generation equipment at our customer locations within Canada, the USA or wherever Siemens Energy is involved in Power Generation.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Participate and complete our Engineer-In-Training (EIT) 12 month program
- Show leadership in job site safety programs to ensure safety of personnel and safety of our customer equipment
- Provide technical assistance for the disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting and assembly of Steam Turbine and Gas Turbine power generation equipment
- Apply knowledge learned through our EIT program, Field Procedures, engineered specifications and engineered drawings to your daily activities as a Field Service Engineer / Representative
- Work as a liaison with design engineering groups to troubleshoot and resolve equipment technical issues
- Complete inspection technical reports
- Assist with the planning, estimating, and resourcing for power generation inspections.
What You Bring
- Mechanical Engineering degree, Mechanical Technologist diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate relevant experience working in the power generation industry or equivalent
- Experience in the maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment or similar large equipment
- Experience working to and updating complex schedules. Familiarity with related software such as Primavera and / or Microsoft Project.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Availability to travel for extended periods, up to 70% per year.
- Eligible to work in Canada. Eligible to travel and work in the USA or abroad.
