Job Title : Facilities Technician
Company : triOS College
Location : On-Site. Support of the various campuses will require travel to our campus locations in Ontario and occasionally to Atlantic Canada.
Hours : 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Start Date : This position is a one-year contract . January 4th, 2024 January 3rd, 2025.

The Opportunity :
The Facilities Technician will perform installation and maintenance in the various facilities. This role will help to ensure that equipment and fixtures are installed securely, safely, and efficiently, and that remediation plans are executed as planned. This is a hands-on role.
What you’ll be doing :
- Assist Lead Facilities Technician.
- Work proactively with the Campus Directors & Facilities Coordinator to ensure the campuses are properly maintained.
- Perform regular and emergency maintenance and repairs of various mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in conjunction with the Facilities Coordinator.
- Participate in the company-wide Health and Safety programs.
- Assist in the planning of execution of new locations including drawing verifications and ensuring space needs are met.
- Install in-wall data cabling.
- Align, install, and / or replace rub strips, projector mounts, projectors, glass whiteboards, corkboards, projector screens, fire extinguishers, desks, server cabinets / racks, privacy panels, fire safety plans, small signage, wireless access points, grommets, chairs, and power bars.
- Paint, organize, and clean campuses.
- Other duties as assigned, and which are in the best interests of the College.
What you bring to the position :
- Trade school diploma, practical experience, or equivalent in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other facilities-related fields.
- Active certification in Working at Heights and Scissor Lift training is considered an asset.
- 1+ year(s) experience in hands-on facilities maintenance work.
- 1+ year(s) experience in a business environment.
- Experience with hands-on maintenance or installation work.
- Knowledge of commercial / institutional facilities fundamentals including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, data cabling, etc.
- Moderate to significant physical demand.
- Safety-focused mindset.
- A reliable vehicle, valid provincial driver’s license. The role requires regular travel between all the Ontario campuses.
