The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the delivery and support of Civeo’s technologies required to manage Civeo Operations functions within the business.

These include Civeo’s Reservation Management System Innfinity, and related 3rd party applications (Access Control, House Keeping, Food Management, etc).

As well the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering and clearly documenting business requirements and understanding how those needs are fulfilled with use of technology and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extend the use of the applications for the management and operations staff through continual enhancement and development.
  • Support system implementations, enhancements and upgrades; assist with technical infrastructure issues.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve system and / or process issues to increase integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness and work with business units to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and resolve issues.
  • Configuration of operational applications including but not limited to, Innfinity, Micros Simphony POS, Access Control Systems, and the related 3rd party applications.
  • Support development and technical resources through the SDLC.
  • Develop technical specifications to meet business requirements for interactive and batch applications supporting key operational business activities.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Work with departments to align workflow and share best practices to increase efficiencies in Reservation Management, Housekeeping, and Food Services.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to identify reporting and application solutions related to Operations and Food Services.
  • Document detailed business requirements including system flow charts, data flow diagrams, application interfaces, data mappings and process flows.
  • Gain approval of business requirements from the key stakeholders.
  • Write functional specifications, application gap analysis, non-functional requirements and recommend solutions to address approved business requirements.
  • Design system related controls, applications and reporting solutions that align to the enterprise architecture.
  • Develop, test and implement solutions to meet business requirements approved by internal stakeholders (. updates / changes and net-new implementations).
  • Create operational support documentation and user guides for support provided to the business or other parts of IT.
  • Translate project objectives and high level requirements into detailed system requirements and / or use cases.
  • Analyze implications of requested new or enhanced application functionality and provide feedback.

Support

  • Provide support for Operations and related applications, including managing support escalations, troubleshoot and close escalated support tickets.
  • Support Operational processes for Reservation and Guest management, Food Services, and Retail.
  • Create, format and deliver ad-hoc reports and queries to users in Operations.
  • Develop and deliver training for new and existing application users.
  • Create formal system change requests and facilitate delivery of all production system updates through the change management process.

Education / Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or Diploma in Business Operations, IT, or other related discipline considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with hospitality applications and related business processes (Reservation Management, Retail and Point of Sale processing, Access Control, Food Services.
  • Working knowledge of Hospitality Industry Operations Management.
  • Strong experience with Reservation Management Software (bookings, logistics, housekeeping, guest services).
  • Knowledge of, and ability to utilize use case analysis, define and document business requirements.
  • Upgrades of Integrated Software Platforms and / or related 3rd party applications highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into creative functional and technical specifications.
  • Proven skills in eliciting and documenting user requirements, analyzing requirements, testing, and making suggestions for business process improvements.

  • Advanced analytical skills in gathering system requirements, logical data & process modeling, use case modeling, work flow modeling.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results.
