INTERNSHIP FIELDENGINEER

At EBC you will benefit from excitingprofessional development opportunities. During your internship youwill be involved or oversee duties usually assigned to a FieldEngineer.

You will assist the Project Manager in various taskspertaining to the job site including planning organizing andsupporting project execution works;

from negotiations withsuppliers and subcontractors to providing support with workmethods. You will also develop and suggest improvements to designstandards advise and solve complex design and engineering issues onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitorworks daily through the technical and administrative tasks assignedto you ;
• Plan and oversee workscoordination with foremen surveyors superintendents engineersproject managers and subcontractors;
• Prepare and follow up on technicalissues in plans and specifications;
• Prepare monitor analyze and managesubcontractor files ;
• Contribute tocontract negotiations when necessary;
• Contribute to projectscheduling;
• Obtain permits andauthorizations required to carry out works;
• Plan and check material orders asneeded ;
• Followup on"Conflict detection" when the project is executedin BIM ;
• Assist review andcommunicate technical questions and change requests to the customerrepresentative and followup whenrequired;
• Plan supervise andcontribute to the development of appropriate construction methodsand processes per contractual requirements while respecting currenthealth and safety requirements;
• Participate in site meetings withvarious project stakeholders;
• Follow up and manage deficienciesat the end of the project;
• Contribute to traffic managementwhenrequired.

Requirements

• Bachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering in progress;
• Relevant experience in engineeringor construction is an important asset;
• A drivers license and / or ability to travel may be required in somecases.
