Job Summary

We are seeking experienced sous chef / lead cook to join a team in a fun atmosphere while maintaining a professional decorum.

The role includes but is not limited to the ability to drive sales, manage costs, create goals and execute strategies to meet / exceed targets given.

Overall the position involves, a 45-50 hour work week. All aspects of all positions within the organization need to be understood.

Creating a strong working environment that thrives and is set for success with or without you is mandatory.

Responsibilities and Duties

Necessary skills, attributes, and responsibilities of a successful candidate :

  • Communication, ability to report, listen, execute, and follow up
  • Strong leadership focus (Mentorship, leading by example, team building)
  • Passion for food and beverage, with an attention to detail
  • Ability to assess suppliers, and determine effective plans of action
  • Understanding Cost of Sales and the relation to the business. Food Costs, Menu Engineering, Labour Costs
  • Cleanliness to a fault
  • Opening and Closing procedures
  • Inventory Control
  • Positive Attitude
  • A competent hiring process that is uniform and thoughtful

Qualifications and Skills

Required

  • Red Seal Certification
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Culinary School Degree or Diploma (preferred)
  • 3 years experience in the same or similar role
  • Health and Safety

Salary : $20.00-$25.00 per hour
