TrisianGlobal Consulting is seeking a SeniorDesign (Analog) Engineer to work onsite in Ottawa Ontario Canada.This position will contribute to the development of multitens ofGHz Transimpedance amplifiers TIAs.
These optical interface chipsare tightly coupled with highperformance equalizers. The results ofinnovative designs have made TIAs best in class for coherentlonghaul and metro systems as well as PAM4 data center systems.
In this role you will be responsiblefor :
- Active circuit design as well astechnical leadership.
- Design leading edgetransimpedance amplifier design primarily in Silicon Germanium(SiGe) BiCMOS (Bipolar Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)technology where circuit performance will need to transcend beyondindustry leading products.
- Develop transmissionline structures and other millimeter wave structures to enablehigher performance than would normally beachievable.
- Design of hiperformance broadbandanalog circuits for optical frontendreceivers.
- Design of various other analogcircuits including linear regulators AGC loop current / voltagesensors bandgaps etc.
- Develop microarchitectureof major circuit blocks and guide team of designers to implementthem. Work with various technologies including SiGe BiCMOS andCMOS.
- Work with other functional groups tofacilitate postsilicon validation qualification transition to massproduction and customer support.
Experience / Education / Skills
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering inthe areas of design of highperformance RF / AnalogReceiver / TIA design
- 10 15 yearsexperience Or MSc EE Or PhD EE with 5 years of experience in theareas of design of highperformance RF / AnalogReceiver / TIA design .
- Provenexperience in IC design including chip tapeout AND lab evaluationof receiver design working in the industry).
- Solid experiencein.
- Using EDA CADtools
- Performing Analog CustomLayout
- Experience inmeasuring IC performance and debug of design to correlatesimulations to measurements
- Deep understandingof fundamentals including :
- Detailedtransistor level design
- Devicephysics
- Control / Feedback loop stabilityanalysis
- Direct projectexperience in at least one of the following areas is aplus :
- AGC loopdesign
- High precision analog circuits(Including linear regulators current sensors bandgaps andDAC / ADC)
- Experience in CTLEdesign
- Experience inPackageSystem integration issuesdesired
- Project experience in using differenttechnologies. (SiGe BiCMOS is a plus)
