Purpose
Scotia iTRADE is looking for an innovative, client-focused, results-oriented and highly motivated Senior Manager to join the Product Strategy team.
The incumbent is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing innovative business strategies and initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the business.
These initiatives include new opportunities or enhancements to platforms and programs to deliver against key business metrics.
Major Accountabilities :
1. Define / plan product priorities in support of the business strategy by :
- Thoroughly analyzing and understanding the competition for each product and creating product development paths that will continually re-define the market standard.
- Prioritizing new products and enhancements based on client insight, market research and cost / benefit analysis.
- Developing platform, program and campaign strategies to drive client acquisition and business growth.
2. Execute the development and implementation of new products as well as enhancements to existing products by :
- Overseeing the translation of market and client analysis into business case proposals and business requirements.
- Collaborating with Product Owners and technology partners to meet deliverables.
- Developing implementation strategies and KPIs.
- Supporting Sales and Marketing teams in developing product positioning strategies
3. Team leadership to motivate and develop individual and team performance by :
- Fostering, coaching and developing a strong, positive team environment, driving employee empowerment, innovation and a high degree of engagement.
- Driving the internal communications process by ensuring all employees are aware of key projects, corporate goals and ongoing critical changes affecting clients.
Education and Work Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of product management experience, preferably having worked in Wealth Management / Online Brokerage
- Experience with usability and design of web and mobile platforms
- Proven leadership experienced in managing a high performing team
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills,
- Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational and planning skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, hands-on and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent team player with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, colleagues and other Wealth Management stakeholders
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
