Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of company’s current architecture artifacts, standards, and methodologies.
- Create a Solution Architecture Playbook, including standards, role definitions, and lifecycle processes, to provide a consistent architecture approach across company.
- Establish a central repository for playbook resources accessible to company’s IT teams.
- Review and refine company’s architecture governance structures and create policies, standards, guardrails, and design patterns to support solution architecture.
- Design a knowledge management process to gather and sustain architecture resources, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
- Support the deployment of architecture policies and standards by populating the architecture repository and ensuring teams are trained in using these resources.
- Develop standard artifacts for capability modeling and system mapping to represent company’s current and future architecture direction.
- Produce a capability-to-solution map for each business line (liquor, gaming, cannabis) that aligns with company’s technology roadmap and future digital strategy.
- Lead the process for continuously updating the capability model, leveraging outputs from solution architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Select and apply the Solution Architecture Playbook to a set of pilot projects to assess its effectiveness and gather feedback for refinement.
- Validate Essential EA as company’s EA platform and adapt playbook processes based on pilot project outcomes.
- Lead training sessions for company’s architecture and business analysis teams on the Solution Architecture Playbook, capability models, and system mapping.
- Provide ongoing mentorship to develop the internal team’s capacity to sustain and enhance architecture practices post-engagement.
- Work closely with company’s architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align playbooks and practices with organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops and validation sessions to ensure architecture standards and practices meet the company's strategic needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise and solution architecture development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing governance frameworks, reference architectures, and solution architecture playbooks.
- Knowledge of Architecture Standards and Practices such as TOGAF, Zachman, and ITIL, with the ability to adapt these frameworks to develop architecture principles, standards, and methodologies specific to organizations.
- Proficiency with Architecture Tools including experience with Essential EA or similar enterprise architecture tools for repository management and model validation.
- Strong Understanding of Business Capability Mapping to develop a capability-to-solution model, especially in complex, multi-line businesses.
- Communication and Mentorship Skills to train, mentor, and onboard architects, business analysts, and IT stakeholders in new solution architecture methodologies and tools.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement experience, especially with cross-functional teams and clients in workshops, validation reviews, and requirements gathering.
- Analytical Skills to assess existing architecture artifacts, identify gaps, and validate architecture practices for integration with the company's technology roadmap.
TOGAF certification :
- 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Architecture Practice Building
- 10+ years of High-Level Architectural Governance and Leadership experience
- 10+ years of Strategic Planning and Technology Roadmapping experience
- 10+ years of Major Systems Assessments and Risk Management experience
- 10+ years of Public Sector experience
- 7+ years of ERP implementation experience
