Our valued public sector client is looking to hire a Sr Gateway Architect (Secret Cleared) to develop the System Implementation Plan, Life Cycle Support Plan, SOP, CONOPS for a federal govt client
Background :
Within DND, the various classified systems range from Secret and above. Each of these systems provides nearly identical services and each has an associated support infrastructure.
These classified systems form a component of a highly integrated information environment. This level of integration brings about new challenges by significantly increasing the technical complexity, interdependency, and criticality of Information Management / Information Technology (IM / IT) systems.
This results in a heightened requirement to execute proper systems engineering on all the systems and sub-systems within DND and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
Tasks :
- Develop enterprise gateway solutions and advise the Technical Authority and clients;
- Design and build with the aim of integration of all aspects of network deployed solutions;
- Build and maintain the gateway test environment;
- Develop or participate in the development of Business or System Requirements, Feasibility Study, Business Case for the Deployed Network Infrastructure, or kit projects;
- Develop or participate in the development of System Engineering Plan, System Requirement Specification and System Design Specification, Impact Assessments, Options Analysis, System Interface Requirements;
- Test, analyse and recommend alternatives and options for solutions;
- Develop or participate in the development of System Implementation Plan, Life Cycle Support Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, CONOPS and Request for Change;
- Perform 3rd and 4th line problem resolution to issues related to network equipment (routers, switches, crypto, firewalls, gateways, proxies, filters, etc.
- from vendors Cisco or Fortinet;
Must haves :
- IP routers and switches - 10 years
- Routing and remote access (RRAS), IDS and VPN - 5 years
- Cryptography - 2 years
