Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Environmental Planner in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Our client, a leader in the oil and gas pipeline industry, with operations throughout Canada has immediate need for a Senior Environmental Planner for a full-time, 1-year contract with possibility of extension in Calgary, AB location.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategies for obtaining environmental regulatory authorizations and for responding to public, regulatory and legislative scrutiny of project environmental issues
- Develop and implement negotiating strategies to influence regulatory initiatives and industry standards
- Provide project management for permitting and compliance work for complex and large projects including strategic planning, execution planning, budgeting and scheduling
- Working closely with internal project teams and Indigenous Relations, Land and Community and Stakeholder relations
- Conducting technical reviews, document reviews and reviewing environmental impact and mitigation planning
- Support for regulatory inspection and community engagement on the project sites
Requirements :
- 10+ years of experience in environmental planning and permitting (related to pipeline)
- A degree or diploma in related field
- Experienced in creating environmental permits, as well as environmental protection plans
- Experience working with the National Energy Board will be an asset
