Your future role on our team
By joining our team as an intermediate engineer, you’ll serve as atechnical leader for engineering mandates in automation, instrumentation andcontrol.
You’ll also take on a leadership role on the team in various phases ofengineering and site work. You’ll help prepare proposals, select technologiesand propose solutions to clients.

- Prepare material lists and bills of materials according to codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures in accordance with BBA’s quality system requirements.
- Revise analyses and deliverables produced by junior engineers, technicians and drafters.
- Perform technical surveys.
- Plan, organize and determine client needs for new facilities or expansion projects.
- Provide technical assistance at project start-up and after delivery.
- Participate in site testing.
- Take on the responsibilities of a project manager, which includes ensuring that all assigned deliverables are produced in accordance with quality requirements and are on time and on budget.
- Maintain synergy with the project team.
- Interact with clients and participate in business development.
- Have a good network of industry contacts.
- Establish and maintain contact with clients.
- Define client needs and target new needs during projects.
- Serve as leader when preparing technical and commercial proposals.

Overview of certifications andjob requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant training
- From 7 to 12 years of relevant experience
- Member of a Canadian professional engineering association
- Practical experience in instrumentation and control design (design criteria, network architecture, instrument selection, etc.)
- Relevant experience in developing and programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
- Site experience and a focus on occupational safety
- Experience with system troubleshooting, commissioning and implementation
- Interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation
- Available to travel to and from our BBA offices in the Greater Montréal area
- Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites
- Bilingual (English and French) and strong skills in drafting reports
