Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager of the Operations Department , this Part-time Operations Supervisor position is responsible for the supervision of Slots or Tables depending on daily work assignment.
In Tables, the Supervisor is responsible for supervision and security of multiple table games and Dealers; in Slots, the Supervisor is responsible for supervision of Slot Attendants and Promotions Booth activities.
Both supervisory positions require ensuring internal controls, government regulations and department policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors games, player tracking (manual & CMP), reports large buy ins / cash outs, table swings, and suspicious play or behavior
- Performs opening and closing procedures for tables
- Responsible for the integrity of the gaming floor by ensuring all government regulations, Internal Controls and Department & Company Policies and Procedures are followed
- Responsible for various department and company development / initiative projects (promotional ideas, increasing headcount etc.)
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Resolves customer disputes, providing comps if necessary; reports irregularities, disputes and suspicious activities; reviews and pre pares CSR Incident Reports
- Verifies jackpots and provides payment, completes all regulatory paperwork (including LCT, MLT FINTRAC etc.)
- Tracks players, Prepares and submits slots reports or tables reports, Reporting all required information to Pit Manager
- Responsible to see that all assets are secured during an emergency (fire alarm, power failure etc.)
- Participates in team member training
- Maintains effective communications with staff regarding any policy changes and Casino Shift Manager regarding ongoing issues, Slot technicians regarding machine malfunctions etc.
- Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to dealers / slot attendants through daily coaching and feedback; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
- Supervises the Promotions booth and helps provide our guests with quality service
- Issues rewards based on programs, Maintain Player's Club Data Bas e
- Executes all promotional activities, responds to guest inquiries
- Complete all sales for tournaments and special events through Micro's
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders : guests, ownership, team members, vendors and regulators
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in guest service; minimum 6 months in Dual Rate Dealer Supervisor role required
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Experience in coaching and developing team members
- Extensive knowledge of table games and slot operations including rules and procedures
- Proven organizational skills
- Computer knowledge of Word and Excel
