The Finance Manager - Ecommerce will be responsible for overseeing the accounting for the online and Ecommerce business.
They will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, brand, marketing, finance and IT to ensure accurate and actionable insights are provided relating to Tiktok and Adyen.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Support the development and execution of e-commerce projects and initiatives and ensure the testing is completed from end to end
- Review and approve related journal entries and reconciliations
- Review and analysis of transactions to ensure accuracy
- Perform period-end financial close responsibilities and timelines are met, including journal entry approvals and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensure the Adyen and Tiktok Controls meet SOX requirements
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless data integration and integrity of our payment provider data into our ERP system
- Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 people, providing guidance on best practices for data analysis, reporting and processes around the reconciliations
- Continue implementing new tools and technologies to improve reporting capabilities and efficiency
- Identify, recommend, and implement strategies to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and controls
- Collaborate and assist with projects to support finance initiatives and business objectives
- Support with the sustainability and social impact team and diversity, equity & inclusion team regularly to incorporate our approach into aspects of work
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Strong financial knowledge and background in systems especially Excel, data reporting and analytics required
- 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of managing a team of 2 or more people
- CPA Designation or equivalent required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal to work effectively with key stakeholders and external vendors
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to demonstrate accuracy and a drive for continuous improvement and automation
