THE ROLE
The Administrative Assistant - Community Recreation provides administrative support for the planning, organizing and delivering of community recreation activities.
They act as point of contact for internal and external customers. They prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material.
They respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person.
Fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs are delivered by PSP on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada and in deployed operations.
PSP delivers evidence-based programs, which contribute to the health and well-being of the military community and operational effectiveness of the CAF.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High School diploma AND several years experience in administration or related field
Experience
In office administration
In basic accounting
In preparing sales reports
In drafting and distributing correspondence
In bookkeeping
In applying policies, procedures and regulations
In reservation systems an asset
In using software for publications and promotional correspondence
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

OTHER INFORMATION
This is an on-site position with an assigned work location in Colwood, BC.
Typical business hours are Monday - Friday 8 : 15am - 4 : 15pm, however there may be requirements to work evenings and weekends.
