Currently they are looking for a Project Engineer / Manager to lead the execution of our projects.
This is a full-time permanent job that will be under direct employment by our client.

What You’ll Do :
- Reporting directly to the president, the Project Engineer / Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing projects from proposal stage through to successful hand off to the client.
- Oversee all aspects of the design of successful furnace equipment retrofits and process improvements
- You will lend your support to sales activities as you analyze Industrial Process systems to optimize energy usage, emission reductions, productivity, safety and quality.
- Your ability to write excellent reports will communicate the requirements for improvement and the associated business case, based on return on investment
What You Offer :
- You have a minimum 10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical or Controls Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario with good standing or ability to obtain same in a timely manner.
- You are familiar with mechanical systems on industrial ovens and furnaces and the underlying combustion science and thermodynamics.
- You have experience in managing projects
- You have excellent communication and writing skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills to lead the team, the client, and external parties (utilities, sub-contractors, equipment vendors, etc.)
Technical abilities :
- Review Process Flow Diagrams
- Calculate Heat and Mass Balances
- Conceptualize Layout Drawings and General Arrangements
- Conceptualize Piping Arrangements
- Mechanical stress design of equipment
- Sketch P&IDs
- Read electrical schematics
- Read programming logic (ladder, function block, structured text)
- Familiarity with Solid Works or other 3D CAD platforms
- Familiarity with TSSA B149 or NFPA 86 codes
Other Requirements
- Support corporate requirements as requested.
- Willing to travel occasionally to job sites and other third-party offices within the GTA and outside GTA areas.
- Expert in Microsoft Office programs and their applications
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada and doesn't require work sponsorship
